I am not sure, if I understand Your wish.
There is an event "STARTUP" to let MIDIKEY2KEY send keys or MIDI-commands when it launches. Doesn't this do the job?

THe way, MK2K sends keystrokes is not recognize by every software like stated iht the FAQ. THere will be included a different sendkey method in the future. All keypresses that MK2K sends are "global". But not every software is regognizing them as stated in the FAQ.
When trying to interact with a software that is launched by a different user, MK2K has to be launched by this user too.

If it is really that way, I cannot help so far.
Not all games recognize MK2Ks keypresses as stated in the FAQ.
MK2K will be extended with another keypress-strategy in future.

There is mo plan to add any graphical editors for lighting.
BIt if Your device is capable to light up LEDs by sending special MIDI commands, MK2K can handle it. You just need to find out, what the commands are.

Then Your device is not sending anything on the selected channel.
Check the manual of Your device and also test it with a different MIDI.software loe MIDI-OX or a DAW.
