Queuing up key presses

Hi,
First, thanks for MidiKey2Key, it's pretty awesome.
I am running into 1 thing which is a bit problematic for my use.
I find that it is queuing up my inputs and playing them in a queue.
My use is definitely not the intended use, but I'm trying to play dark souls via an edrum kit using midikey2key to map to keyboard inputs.
If I hit the pads very quickly, then sit back and do nothing, the inputs I did on the pads is played out like it's emptying a queue of commands.
It's not the behaviour in the game if you spam the attack button, it'll do 1 attack and drop all the rest of the inputs.
Is there a way to configure it not to queue up inputs in that way?
